Skywalker Trampoline Reviews-bouncing fun

So what’s the best exercise for your kids? Well, how long is a piece of string? Ha. It really depends on the kid in question. But one thing that’s for sure is that every kid, anywhere, anytime, any age absolutely loves jumping. Up and down, side to side, hour upon hour. So we’re just gonna do a few skywalker trampoline reviews for you.

Why skywalker? Well it’s a well known brand and probably one you’ll come across quite frequently in your search for a kids trampoline. Founded in 2004, Skywalker believe in creating fun and exciting products for kids to actively encourage them to get involved in activity and movement, both indoors and outdoors. However, they also keep a close eye on product safety and believe that one should not compromise the other.

Skywalker trampoline reviews- the lowdown

Skywalker offer a 90 day warranty from date of purchase on materials such as the enclosure netting, spring pad, jump mat and plastic hardware to cover manufacturing defects that occur during “normal” use of their product. Their warranty on steel parts (springs and frame) is 1 year from date of purchase. Warranty does not cover weather associated damage or damage due to “improper” use or incorrect assembly, maintenance or storage.

Now I’m no warranty expert but 90 days doesn’t seem like a whole heap of time for the material and if I was investing in a trampoline I’d expect the manufacturer to back up their product for a bit longer than that.

Specifically, as it says warranty only extends to normal use, as recommended by the manufacturer, which includes one kid at a time only, within weight restrictions, and removal of all padding, meshing and soft materials during winter months to be stored in a dry place.

Well, this isn’t very realistic for an outdoor family toy in my opinion. However, we’ll crack on with our skywalker trampoline reviews and check out some different models and what previous customers have to say.

On one last point, as Amazon is an authorized retailer of Skywalker products, all Skywalker products bought through Amazon will carry the full manufacturer’s warranty.

About the Skywalker Trampoline Round Bouncer Trampoline with Enclosure:

A safe and sturdy option for your little monkey as they start to work on their movement, balance and of course, jumping skills. This model is perfect for keeping them indoors but away from the TV. With a safety enclosure netting to prevent trips or falls and a 360 degree stability handle to provide heaps of support and encouragement for your little monkey to jump as high as they can, you’ll have peace of mind knowing they’re safe and happy inside their trampoline.

Various safety features on this one to put safety conscious parents’ minds at ease. First up is the No-Gap Enclosure Net, tightly woven and sewn directly onto the jump mat, ensuring no risk of little arms and legs falling into the gaps and spoiling the fun. Another nice feature is that the enclosure net stretches all the way to the floor, meaning no little monkeys can crawl underneath unnoticed and get injured.

Secondly, this is a springless model and instead uses stretch bands to create bounce. While this does reduce bounce slightly, it’s perfect for the younger age group to prevent pinching and injuries from the less forgiving steel springs on the heavier duty trampolines. On top of this, a wide frame padding covers all the stretch bands and any harder areas anyway, so even less risk of injury to your little one, even when they’re not jumping!

ASTM approved and lightweight enough for your lounge room, this is a great starter model to encourage your kids movement, co-ordination and muscle strength. You can even grab yourself a bag of plastic balls and turn it into a ball pit for added fun!

The Good Bits:
  • Springless design means no risk of fingers getting pinched.
  • No Gap Enclosure net means no risk of injury to arms and legs falling through gaps.
  • Plenty of padding inside and outside the structure to avoid bumps and tears.
  • Weight capacity of 100 pounds.

The Bad Bits:
  • Large in a lounge room setting, but hey, it looks cool and colourful.
  • Difficult assembly
  • Not portable and needs to be dismantled to fit through a doorway…so pick your asembly room wisely!

What the Reviews Say:

Several buyers had problems with the mesh netting ripping quite easily around the area near the zipper, as this is where it is under greatest strain. However, this doesn’t affect the functionality of the product and the parts are under warranty for 90 days. It would be better if it didn’t happen though as it seems to be a recurring problem with this and similar designs of trampolines.

For the most part though, buyers are pretty happy with this model. Kids love it…happy kids, happy parents!

What We Say:

It’s a nice basic model for a good price to get started with. Your kid will love it and probably spend hours in jumping bliss…which is great. The jumping space does feel a bit small and cramped in comparison to the size of the structure from the outside, but that’s probably all the extra safety padding…which is a good thing!

Issues with the netting ripping are disappointing and we’d definitely adhere to the manufacturer’s recommendations on this one and keep the softer materials out of harsh weather conditions. Personally, I’d consider it more of an indoor toy.

3.5 Stars from us!

Skywalker Trampolines 40 In. Round Lily Pad Adventure Bouncer with Enclosure

Amazon Rated: 4 Stars
Age Range: 3 to 7

Item Weight: 18.1 pounds
Dimensions: 40 x 40 x 55.6 inches
Is Assembly Required: Yes
Maximum weight: 100 lbs

About the Skywalker Trampolines 40 In. Round Lily Pad Adventure Bouncer with Enclosure:

A little bit bigger than the previous product in these skywalker trampoline reviews, this is another nice design, bringing together both safety and fun for your kids. With similar safety features to the previous model, this product also replaces springs with stretch bands to keep little fingers safe.

Also fully padded, surrounded by gap-free meshing and with a 360-degree stability bar to keep them upright while they learn how to jump safely this is another great combination of safety, comfort, and fun from the Skywalker Trampolines range.

It’s also great for throwing a blanket over and turning into a fort if they want to play pirates (or you want to play pirates!)

The Good Bits:
  • It’s wide base and arched enclosure poles give stability to the structure and reduces wobbling, tipping and movement.
  • Fun, brightly colored Lily Pad design.
  • All surface areas are soft, padded and child-friendly.
  • No springs.

The Bad Bits:
  • Not easy to store as it’s difficult to disassemble and reassemble. Although, chances are it won’t be going into storage much as you won’t get your kid off it long enough.
  • Not portable.
  • Generally for indoor use only as softer materials don’t do so well in tougher weather conditions.
  • Tricky assembly for the slightly more DIY challenged of us out there!

What the Reviews Say:

Most of the reviews are positive, saying that kids love it and the basic structure is sturdy and of good quality. However, there seems to be similar problems with the ripped netting around the enclosure zip…again. This seems to be a common problem with this type of product as there is very little stretch in a zip and a lot of stretch in the mesh netting, therefore putting a lot of strain on the area. This is possibly something the manufacturer needs to look at. Also, a few buyers stated that the foam padding is quite flimsy and wears away quite easily in a short space of time.

What We Say:

Well it’s a nice size, it’s bouncy and it’s safe for your little one. If kept indoors, it seems to be of fairly good quality and will last until they get bored with it.  The issues with the netting and foam seem to be a recurring problem with this particular brand so we would recommend care be taken when using the zip. Aside from that your kids will love it and will probably just disappear for hours onto it and only come looking for you when they’re hungry…great!

Skywalker Trampolines 60 In. Round Seaside Adventure Bouncer with Enclosure

Amazon Rated: 4 Stars
Age Range: 3 to 7

Item Weight 27.3 pounds
Dimensions: 60 x 60 x 62 Inches
Is Assembly Required: Yes
Maximum weight: 100 lbs

About the Skywalker Trampolines 60 In. Round Seaside Adventure Bouncer with Enclosure:

Another one in our long list of skywalker trampoline reviews, this model is bigger again at a good, spacious 60 inches, with an actual jumping space of about 50 inches…which is more than enough for any kid to have some fun on!

Similar to previous models in this article, this one uses stretch bands instead of steel springs. A slight reduction in the trampoline’s “bounciness” is worth the assurance that little fingers won’t get squashed in springs and when they’re only small, I find the stretch bands just as effective for the suggested age range and a nice safety feature for little fingers and toes.

Soft padding all around and a fun, brightly colored zoo animal design, will have your little one squealing with delight at the new addition to their toy collection. A well-placed bungee cord helps little legs climb in and out and the gap free meshing ensures no bumps and fall. This product, like the previous Skywalker products this one passes all standards for the American Society for Testing and Materials.

The Good Bits:
  • No springs! No squashed fingers!
  • 360 degree handle to reduce fall risks and boost their jumping confidence.
  • Sturdy and safe for up to two kids at once.
  • Nice large jumping area.

The Bad Bits:
  • Assembly can be a bit awkward.
  • Not portable and while it is possible to disassemble it, I wouldn’t recommend doing it often as it can be fiddly and time-consuming.
  • More of an indoor toy unless the weather is mellow.

What the Reviews Say:

Several purchasers the metal seemed weak and not of great quality and the safety padding was flimsy. Again they experienced some problems were experienced with the netting tearing not too long after assembly. However, the majority of reviews state that they are happy with the product and the kids love it.

What We Say:

Mixed reviews here stating similar problems as before. Mainly that the netting tears quite easily and the metal fatigues after a few months. Our experience with this particular model has been good and we found it sturdy and safe for the kids to play in. As far as skywalker trampoline reviews go, this is a good one…4 Stars from us!

Skywalker Trampolines 15-Feet Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline

Amazon Rated: 4.5 Stars
Age Range: 3 and Up

Available In: Blue, Camo, Green, Purple, Red, Stars & Stripes

Item Weight: 190 pounds
Dimensions: 108.3 x 180 x 180 inches
Is Assembly Required: Yes, about 3 hours.
Maximum weight: 200 lbs

About the Skywalker Trampolines 15-Feet Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline:

Still continuing with the skywalker trampoline reviews, we’re going up a level now into the more sturdier outdoor models. This one is a good 15 foot in diameter with a surface jumping area of 143 square feet! That’s a whole lotta space for somersaults, and you’ll be jumping away in comfort and safety on it’s heavy-duty, UV protected polypropylene anti-slip jump mat, supported by 96 springs (rust resistant of course)! That’s some serious bounce right there!

But if that’s not enough to get you off the sofa, this newer model is fitted with a specially designed basketball hoop feature (removable if you like) to introduce a whole new dimension of fun for all the family.

With a frame constructed of heavy gauge, galvanized steel, supported by 6 W-shaped legs this is a seriously sturdy piece of equipment that should offer no problems with tipping or wobbling. Skywalker’s patented No-Gap Enclosure System once again ensures maximum safety and comfort for your kids by attaching the net at each V-ring spring clip, therefore eliminating dangerous gaps between the jumping surface and the enclosure net. In addition to this, the springs and frame are covered by a thick, UV resistant PVC padding to protect kids from any bumps and bruises while they practice their extra-bouncy basketball skills.

The Good Bits:
  • Heaps of safety features for your peace of mind.
  • Large surface area for jumping.
  • Basketball hoop is a nice touch.

The Bad Bits:
  • Ladder not included.
  • Basketball hoop could be heavier duty.

What the Reviews Say:

Generally good reviews on this one. The majority of buyers seem happy that the product is of good size and good quality, with a great bounce. Also, the instructions were clear and assembly wasn’t too much bother. A few stars lost for missing parts on delivery, but usually rectified pretty quickly and most customers state that customer service from the manufacturers is very good.

What We Say:

For the price you’re paying it’s a good product to have in your backyard and the basketball hoop is a nice touch to add an extra activity. We thought the materials seemed good quality and durable. Yes, they look a bit weather beaten after a year or so of use and outdoors but it still functions well and there’s no rusting in the springs or steel frame.

About the Skywalker Trampolines 15 feet Round Trampoline and Enclosure with Spring Pad:

Another great product from skywalker, this simple basic trampoline design is great for getting your kids off the couch and encouraging physical activity.

Constructed from a heavy-duty, UV protected polypropylene jumping mat and supported by a total of 96 rust-resistant springs to offer strength and stability without compromising on bounce. Fully enclosed in a safety mesh netting which is attached to the jumping mat by a button-hole system for easier assembly, there is a very low risk of falls and injury in this safety-conscious model of trampoline.

The Good Bits:
  • Simple design, functional and long lasting.
  • Sturdy, even without anchoring it to the ground.
  • Available in a range of colors.

The Bad Bits:
  • Mesh netting tended to rip quite easily for some customers.
  • No ladder included.

What the Reviews Say:

Over 90% positive reviews on this one (4 and 5 Star), describing it as a sturdy, safe and reliable structure. Several reviewers even made a point of saying they’ve had it for a couple of years and it’s still going strong and staying rust free.

A few negative reviews, but in very small percentages, stating that the product was of poor quality and didn’t last long but, as I said, these are in the minority. Any other negative reviews are based on parts missing when the item was delivered, of difficulty with assembly.

What We Say:

A good basic trampoline at a good price, no gimmicks. We found it felt safe and offered good support and bounce and kept our kids happy for hours.

Skywalker Trampolines 12 feet Round Trampoline and Enclosure with Spring Pad

Available In: Blue, Camo, Green, Purple and Red

Item Weight: 135 pounds
Dimensions: 144 x 144 x 106.5 Inches
Is Assembly Required: Yes

Maximum Weight: 200 pounds

About the Skywalker Trampolines 12 feet Round Trampoline and Enclosure with Spring Pad:

A great size trampoline for big and little kids, and even some adults (within the weight range of course!), this is another reliable product from Skywalker. Available in a range of colors and ASTM certified, this is sure to offer jumping fun for your family for many years.

Constructed from strong, UV resistant materials around a heavy galvanized steel frame, with 72 rust-resistant springs supporting a heavy duty jumping mat, this product offers superior bounce at a very affordable price and we reckon will show good value for money as the years go by.

Once again, the safety conscious Skywalker has included various safety features such as it’s gap-free enclosure and extra padding to ensure maximum peace of mind for parents and comfort for kids.

The Good Bits:
  • Strong and sturdy.
  • Spacious.
  • Plenty of safety features.

The Bad Bits:
  • Padding can wear down easily in tougher weather conditions.
  • Assembly can be time-consuming.

What the Reviews Say:

Again, like most skywalker products, over 90% positive 4 and 5 Star reviews on this one, describing it as a high quality and long lasting product. The issue with the netting tearing around the zip area pops up time and time again but even this is in the minority as most people seem very happy with the product.

What We Say:

We like this product. To be honest we like all skywalker products. We think as a company they genuinely offer safe, fun and effective products at a very reasonable price and would definitely recommend buying off them as a long term investment in your kids health and well-being.

So there you have it. That’s about it for our skywalker trampoline reviews. In our opinion they’re a company that provide a good range of quality, safety conscious products at an affordable price, making outdoor activity safe and accessible to everybody. The products we have reviewed are just a small sample of Skywalker products available through Amazon.

Reviews on their products are mainly positive, citing strong sturdy materials and good customer service. Their warranty could be a bit longer than 90 days on the soft materials, and there does tend to be a bit of a recurring issue with the mesh netting tearing, and perhaps this is something the manufacturers need to work on.

All in all though, plenty of happy customers and happy kids!
