Best Mini Trampoline benefits

Reports show that after only 10 minutes of jumping on a trampoline, a 150-pound adult can burn 42 calories. Wow! So that’s 126 calories in a 30-minute trampoline workout of pure fun. What’s even better is with a mini trampoline you can have it in your living room, right there in front of the TV if that helps! So if you’re not a fan of the gym, running is just not your thing and you’re not ready to brave the kids’ outdoor trampoline and perform your jumping skills under the watchful eye of the neighbors yet, then begin your search for the best mini trampoline here.

We’ve picked a few of our favorite’s to get you started on your new healthy (and fun) approach to living! Unfortunately, they generally don’t come in in fun bright colors or camo and we usually have to make do with silver or black.

Stamina 36-Inch Folding Trampoline

Frame Diameter: 36 x 36 x 9 Inches

Product Weight: 40 pounds

Weight Capacity: 250 pounds

About the Stamina 36-Inch Folding Trampoline:

Stamina have been around since 1987 and are one of the first companies to introduce products of this nature to the market. Their warranty is for 1 year on the steel frame and 90 days on parts, although I would hope that the parts would last for a bit longer than that!

With it’s sleek design and small size you may be forgiven for thinking that this mini trampoline is light weight. However, it is constructed from a heavy duty steel frame, supported by 6 easily detachable legs for maximum support whilst maintaining portability. It’s heavy duty rebounding surface consists of thirty tension bands, all two inches wide, for strong resistance and support, offering a maximum weight capacity of up to 250 pounds.

The Good Bits:
  • Detachable legs and a handy folding design make this mini trampoline very portable and easy to store, meaning you can take your workout with you anywhere and not miss out on burning those calories!
  • The trampoline has rubber tipped legs to protect your flooring while you work out.
  • No springs, so no noise!

The Bad Bits:
  • Grey sleeve is a bit difficult to fit on.
  • Legs may need to be tightened pretty regularly.
  • Assembly may need two people.

What the Reviews Say:

Mixed reviews on this one with the general opinion being it’s great for a beginners rebound workout or for people on the lighter end of the 250 pounds weight limit. A few buyers stated that the silver padding began to degrade quicker than they would have expected. However, plenty of good reviews saying that it’s great for basic rebounding exercise, about half an hour a day. General impression is that the life expectancy of this product is about one year for the jumping pad.

What We Say:

It’s a great beginner’s product if you’re just getting into rebounding or you just want something around the house to encourage you off the sofa or burn up some excess energy. If you require a rebound trampoline for any sort of physical therapy or to improve issue with knee or hip joints then this is probably not the product for you as the bands don’t offer as much bounce and support as the more traditional spring options. As a starter though a great buy for the price.

4 Stars for this one.

Frame Diameter: 32 x 19 x 5.5 Inches

Product Weight: 24.2 pounds

Weight Capacity: 250 pounds

About the Impex Fitness Marcy Cardio Trampoline Trainer:

Founded in 1959, the Marcy Gymnasium Equipment Company pride themselves on offering professional quality products at affordable prices for home use. With an extensive background in health, fitness and body-building, founder Walter Marcyan believed that everybody should have the opportunity and the knowledge to exercise at home with their own, professional grade equipment. And that’s just what they offer here with their best mini trampoline.

Compact, foldable and portable, the Impex Fitness Trampoline Trainer is designed for convenience and functionality. Constructed from a lightweight, yet hard wearing steel frame and 6 durable legs supporting continuous rebound bands that can support a weight of up to 250 pounds, this product offers both comfort and good bounce with the convenience of easy storage when not in use.

It also comes with the option of attaching an easy to remove stability bar for increasing flexibility, balance and coordination.

The Good Bits:
  • Includes detachable stabilizing bar for added balance and coordination.
  • Portable and easy to store
  • Easy assembly
  • Very quiet as there are no springs.

The Bad Bits:
  • Bar a little low down for some adults and doesn’t seem to be adjustable.
  • Be cautious when folding it up as it tends to “snap” closed, once it passes the halfway mark. This is possibly something the manufacturers need to look at as it may cause injury.

What the Reviews Say:

Mixed reviews on this product. Positive reviews generally stating that it’s a great product…for kids, rather than a high endurance piece of sports equipment. Some reviews stating that the bounciness isn’t great due to the bands instead of springs being used and that it’s difficult to unfold and snaps shut a bit too quickly and harshly when folding up.

Also a few issues with the outer cover coming apart after only a few weeks of use and the stability bar being an inappropriate height for taller adults. This again makes it a great mini trampoline for kids but perhaps not a high-use piece of exercise equipment for adults.

What We Say:

Well aside from the difficulties with folding and unfolding (yes, it is a bit fiddly but not a deal breaker) it does seem to be a good product for the price it’s at. It’s simple design and small size mean you can bring your exercise with you and, as a beginner’s piece of exercise equipment, it is functional and will get you off the couch and working out. Trampolines without springs will always be a bit less bouncy, but the upside is you get a quiet workout and the neighbors won’t hate you!

3.5 for this one as it is a bit awkward to fold and unfold and the outer covering doesn’t seem to be terribly durable.

Rated: 3.5 Stars

Frame Diameter: 5 x 20 x 31 Inches

Product Weight: 10.3 pounds

Weight Capacity: 200 pounds

Another good springless trampoline model, the AirZone Mini Band Fitness Trampoline consists of a durable polypropylene jump mat and stretch bands supported by a strong steel frame, with removable legs for easy storage and a padded outer skirt to protect the outer frame, Good bounce and a handy size combine functionality with convenience in the this best mini trampoline.

The Good Bits:
  • Great bounce for a springless model.
  • Easy to detach legs and store away.
  • Folds in half for easy storage.

The Bad Bits:
  • Assembly on this one can be quite difficult, requiring two or possibly three adults.
  • No Stability Bar included in this one.
  • Lower weight capacity than similar models.

What the Reviews Say:

Mixed reviews on this one, with positive reviews stating that it’s great for the kids but possibly a bit unsure of how it would hold up to continued adult use. Several reviewers stated the legs seem a little off balance and therefore a bit wobbly. However, the jump surface and frame seem robust and it offers a great bounce for a mini trampoline. The general opinion seems to be that it’s a bit awkward to put together and you’ll need more than one adult. However, once it’s up you’ll get good bounce and a good rebounding workout.

What We Say:

Well, it has good bounce and, for the price you’re paying, it’s a good piece of equipment. It’s not a heavy duty trampoline and doesn’t claim to be. You’ll get good standard use out of it and can expect it to last up to a year.

3.5 Stars from us as it has a lower weight capacity than other similar models.

Pure Fun Mini Rebounder Trampoline (Ages 13 and Up)

[easyazon_image align=”center” height=”500″ identifier=”B002N5DVGK” locale=”US” src=”https://activeplaytime.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/41cCUinBDvL.jpg” tag=”activeplaytime-20″ width=”219″]

Frame Diameter: 8.5 x 44 x 44 Inches

Product Weight: 17 pounds

Weight Capacity: 250 pounds

About the Pure Fun Mini Rebounder Trampoline:

Next up on our best mini trampoline reviews is the Pure Fun Mini Rebounder Trampoline. We included this one as it has springs, unlike the others, and we figured springs mean more bounce! So this product is constructed from a steel frame, with 36 high-tension springs supporting a durable polypropylene jumping mat for superior bounce. A cushioned exterior padding system keeps everything nice and soft and reduces the risk of injury in the event of a fall.

The Good Bits:
  • Easy assembly…5 minutes or less!
  • 36 springs for extra bounce.

The Bad Bits:
  • Springs can be a bit squeaky.
  • Need to unscrew legs for storage, rather than just fold up and store.

What the Reviews Say:

Well, plenty of reviews to say it’s a good product and it’s got good bounce. However, there does seem to be a lot of people grumbling a bit about springs breaking here, there and everywhere! After only weeks, or even days of use there seems to be a few reviews stating that they’ve had to replace springs. Now, they are easy enough to replace and the manufacturers seem to be pretty good with replacing parts. However, it would kind of just be better if they didn’t break in the first place. That said, once it’s up it’s a good little jumper and you’ll get a great workout from it.

What We Say:

Yes, it’s a bit bouncier than it’s springless cousins. However, if the springs keep needing to be replaced it’s not great. Kind of ruins your exercise flow a bit. We included a trampoline with springs in our best mini trampoline review as we thought it would be superior, more robust and offer an overall better rebounding experience. However, we’re not convinced of the quality of the springs.

Conclusion:

It’s hard to pick a favorite from this lot as they’re all pretty similar and they all have their good points and bad points. It does seem to be a choice between slightly less bounce with stretch bands or a bit of extra bounce…with broken springs.

We’d have to go with Product 2: Impex Fitness Marcy Cardio Trampoline Trainer, simply because it includes a stability bar for a bit of extra help with balance and stability.
